Rate range: £11.44 - £19.50 per hour (Based on experience)

Silverbox Kids is looking for passionate and creative individuals with experience in education, workshop facilitation, or visual arts to lead our interactive workshops for young people aged 8 - 16 years.
Our workshops encourage students to explore and develop skills in:

The Role
As a Workshop Leader, you will lead engaging sessions, deliver presentations, demonstrate creative techniques, and guide students through hands-on activities.
Over time, you will also contribute to writing workshop plans, developing presentations, and preparing workshop materials.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy teaching, mentoring, and inspiring creativity in young people.
📌 An Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding training are required (provided by Silverbox).

Workshop Delivery:
- Lead engaging workshops in Visual Arts, Digital Media, and Creative Storytelling.
- Deliver presentations and explain key concepts in a clear and interactive manner.
- Demonstrate techniques related to the session’s topic (e.g., drawing, character design, photography, animation).
- Set creative challenges and activities for students to complete.
- Adapt activities to suit different learning styles and abilities.
Leadership & Student Engagement:
- Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
- Motivate students to experiment, collaborate, and express themselves.
- Reinforce club rules and behavioral expectations in a fair and supportive way.
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to students.
Workshop Preparation & Development (Long-Term Responsibilities):
- Assist in writing workshop plans and structuring session content.
- Contribute to the creation of workshop presentations and learning materials.
- Help develop new interactive activities that enhance student engagement.
Technical & Logistical Support:
- Set up and manage workshop materials and creative equipment (e.g., drawing tablets, cameras, software).
- Ensure smooth file management and project organization.
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues during workshops.
Safety & Reporting:
- Follow safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.
- Asset with risk assessments and enforce safety guidelines.
- Report any concerns regarding student welfare to the Workshop Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
✅ Experience in leading workshops, teaching, or creative facilitation.
✅ Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
✅ Ability to engage and inspire young audiences.
✅ Confidence in using creative tools and technology (e.g., digital drawing software, photography, animation tools).
Desired:
🎭 Background in Visual Arts, Media, Theatre, Digital Arts, or Creative Education.
📷 Experience working with young people in educational or extracurricular settings.
🩹 First Aid Certification (Training Provided).

Hours & Commitment
- Various, based on active projects.
- Weekdays: Typically 2 hours between 3pm - 6pm.
- Additional hours may be required for planning and holiday workshops.
