🎬 Free Film-Making Workshop for Home-Educated Students​

Ages 8 - 12

​We’re inviting home-educated children aged 8+ to join us for a free, two-hour creative filmmaking workshop designed especially for the Home Education community.

This relaxed, hands-on session is a chance for students to explore digital filmmaking, using real camera equipment, acting for camera and working together to bring their ideas to life.

It’s also a great opportunity for families to meet the Silverbox Kids team, experience how our workshops run and help us shape future sessions starting in January 2026.

Places are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

We’re exploring the possibility of running weekday morning workshops designed specifically for home-educated students aged 8-16 years—but we need your help to shape them!
What We’re Planning:

We’re developing 2-hour creative workshops covering a range of visual arts skills, including:
  • 🎬 Filmmaking – Learn the magic of storytelling through the lens.
  • 🖊️ Comic Book & Storyboard Design – Bring characters and ideas to life.
  • 🎭 Acting for Camera – Build confidence in front of the camera.
  • 🎞️ Animation – Create movement frame by frame.
  • 🎧 Sound Design – Discover the power of audio in storytelling.
  • ✍️ Writing & Screenwriting – Develop compelling stories and scripts
