What Happens at Animation Club?Our club is designed to nurture creativity and build real skills.
We have 63 skill-building workshops and 60 unique projects to work on. Students will always find something new to explore. First Half of Term: Learn new animation principles and industry skills each week — from character design, lighting, storyboarding to stop-motion timing and set building. Second Half of Term: Put your skills into action by creating your own short animated film with a team! |

What Will My Child Learn?Each term brings new creative and technical skills that help students grow, including:

How It Works
- Clubs run weekly after school at participating schools
- Laptops & DSLR cameras provided — no equipment needed
- Sign up for a term at a time — or continue across multiple terms
- New workshops each week – no repetition, just progression
- Final sessions of each term are project-based — children create and showcase their very own animations!

Q: My child’s never done animation. Is that OK?
Absolutely. No experience needed — we teach everything from scratch.

Q: Will they make a film every week?
The first half of term builds skills; the second half is for film projects. By the end of term, your child will hopefully have created their own animated short but at the very least they will have done lots of small experiments

It follows a similar structure but it’s all about animation. Think more stop-motion, drawing and character design.

Q: Do the students need to be in front of the camera?
Not at all. Our focus is on what happens behind the camera and animation generally uses materials and props rather than actors (but not always!)

We run at an 8/1 ratio meaning there is lots of contact time with tutors

Q: Can I try one session before I commit to a whole term?
Yes, once you have signed up and paid if you decide after the first session that the club isn't right for you, we will refund you the remaining sessions without having to give two weeks notice.
