New to Silverbox AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS?

Our 2-hour after-school clubs give children aged 8+ a safe, structured and exciting space to explore filmmaking, animation and digital illustration, all within the familiar setting of their own school.

Sessions are hands-on, supportive and designed to help children build confidence, creativity and practical digital skills over time.
​
Every session offers something slightly different. Some introduce new techniques step by step, while others give students more freedom to experiment, develop their own ideas and work creatively as part of a group. Along the way, children build confidence by taking on creative challenges, sharing ideas, contributing to discussions and supporting each other through collaborative projects.
Our sessions take inspiration from the real creative industries and A-level coursework, but everything is kept simple and easy to follow so no one feels left behind. The aim is for students to develop skills and ways of thinking they can carry with them into creative careers or simply into everyday life, building confidence in what they can achieve.

Everyone who works for Silverbox is a real digital artist with experience in the fields they teach so you can rest assured that the skills developed in sessions will serve students well in their careers and lives ahead.

What They’ll Be Doing

Hands-on, energetic and relaxed, our sessions give students the freedom to explore digital arts, develop their ideas and experiment with tools and technologies they might not otherwise have access to at home or at school.

Creative Challenges

Students can take on optional creative challenges designed to extend their skills and help shape their ideas.

GROUP DISCUSSIONS

Group discussions give students the chance to share their work, talk through ideas and learn from each other.

CERTIFICATES & AWARDS

Students work towards a certificate each term, with one award given to recognise outstanding effort, progress or creativity.

SKILLS WORKSHOPS

Take part in a series of skills workshops designed to introduce a range of real creative industry skills.

FREE TO EXPLORE SESSIONS

Students are given time and space to experiment, using the equipment independently to develop their own ideas and projects.

LEARN TECHNOLOGY

Students build confidence using creative tools and technologies, learning through hands-on, practical experience.

At the end of each term, students leave with something they’ve created—small but meaningful outcomes that reflect what they’ve learned.

OUR CLUB PHILOSOPHY:
​Short, Creative Experiments
Our after-school clubs are designed as creative testing grounds.

Each week, students learn new techniques, explore fresh ideas and build real creative skills through short, focused activities. Because sessions are only two hours long, the emphasis is often on experimenting, practising and trying things out, rather than producing one fully finished piece of work every week.

​Across the term, students build confidence by creating a collection of mini projects, exercises and creative experiments.

At the heart of everything we do is our philosophy: Keep It Delightfully Simple.
Looking for something longer and more involved?
Our Holiday Schools give students more time to work on bigger projects, including complete short films, animations and creative productions.
"This is a fun & learning space for kids where they learn how to use devices, software and most importantly to be creative.
​The club leaders are fantastic and my child loves going there because he feels safe, validated and is allowed to be authentic and creative. They make great videos learning the basics of film making as well as play lots of games. I really recommend this!"
